As I said in my last blog OxJam is here again and in need of your support, you can support by simply signing up as a OxJam Music Event Organiser (MEO) oooooooo doesn’t that sound nice MEO!
Believe it or not the role of a MEO can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. The events can be as big or as small as you feel combatable with and if you have any problems there will always be an OxJam team member at the other end of the phone, email or even face to face.
How do I know you will get help from OxJam …..simple if you are putting on an event in Leicester it will be ME and the other 5 team members helping you and if you’re from another part of the country then you will deal with your local OxJam team.
Being one of the Leicester OxJam coordinators we have goals that as a team we want to achieve and those goals can be split in to three simple bullet points;
- Raise LOADS and LOADS of money for charity (£10,000 from nothing would be a great achievement and one the team would be happy with.)
- Bring Leicester’s music back to where it was and where it belongs (only 10 years ago Leicester was one of the top 3 places to see live music, the other two was London and Manchester.)
- For OxJam to be BIGGER AND BETTER than last year (what the 2009 OxJam team achieve was amazing but we want to do better) let’s face it bigger is better.
So keep your eyes open and your ear to the ground because you will not want to miss this year’s OxJam event!
